hypios wins at Innovate! 2010 Pitch Slam
On June 24, 2010, hypios was awarded first place at SemTech Innovate!2101 PitchSlam. President of hypios US, Anthony DeFillipo, won over judges with a pitch focusing on the disruptive potential of hypios’ expert-identification and problem solving platform.
Co-host of the event, Guidewire Group’s founder Mike Sigal, explained that the expert panel of judges were impressed both by hypios’ business concept and it’s impact-potential. The expert panel included Dave McComb, president of Semantic Arts; Brian Cook from nFuse Partners; Michael Winton, director of developer relations at Google; Madeline Duva, president of 3rd Eye Consulting; and Mark Sugarman from MHS Capital.
hypios, which this week celebrated 1 year of successful on-line problem solving, provides clients with open innovation eco-systems capable of expert identification inside and outside an organization. To do this hypios has developed intelligent Semantic Web tools capable of high-accuracy matching of problem to expertise and an extensive solver-network. It views its own investments in R&D as vital to growth and success.
In response to the win, DeFillipo says: “I am very excited that the Guidewire Group has launched a truly global competition of this nature, and of course I am thrilled that hypios won.”
As the winner of the Innovate!2010 Pitch Slam at SemTech, hypios guarantees itself a spot on Guidewire Group’s Innovate!100 list of 100 up-and-coming tech startups.
