Paris, 28 May 2010 — Online research and development (R&D) problem-solving site hypios.com has been labeled a recipient of the 2010 Red Herring 100 Europe Award, a prestigious list that honors the most promising private technology ventures of the year.

Among hundreds of enterprises across Europe – including those in biotech, software, hardware, clean tech, telecom and security – the top 100 are composed of what Red Herring considers the most innovative companies representing the continent. They are selected based on “technological innovation, management strength, market size, investor record, customer acquisition, and financial health.”

“Despite the global economic situation, there were many great companies producing really innovative and amazing products that we had a difficult time narrowing the pool and selecting the finalists,” admitted CEO/publisher Alex Vieux of Red Herring. ”We know that this year’s crop will grow into some amazing companies that are sure to go far.”

As a next step, hypios has been entered into the Red Herring 100 Global Award competition, where the best companies from Asia, Europe and North America compete for global technological renown.
