hypios Seeks Insights on Submersible Biodegradable Battery

1 November 2009 – 8:00 am

hypios, the social problem-solving platform, is hosting a competition seeking users able to develop a biodegradable battery for the marine environment.

“This problem presents the chance to reassert the commitment hypios has made to helping companies solve their most complex problems in sustainable development,” said Oussama Ammar, president and founder of hypios.

“Many companies are now focused on finding timely, original solutions to the problems of environmental impact they encounter during their production cycle. They want to go beyond paying lip service to green initiatives and actually clean things up,” added Simone De Liberato, hypios’ scientific director.

The solution will help a Naval industry leader decrease its environmental impact. Entries will be taken until 5 April, 2010. A successful submission wins US$20,000 in compensation.
